今日は朝から素晴らしい天気。標高1000メートル以上が雪化粧しています。露天風呂からの景色は最高ですよ！
里山十帖周辺はまだ降雪なし。次の寒波は10日後、16、17日からになりそうですが、はたして雪が積もるでしょうか？
ちなみに真正面に見えているのは日本百名山のひとつに数えられる、標高1967メートルの巻機山（まきはたやま）。機（はた）織りの神様がいると伝えられる山です。里山十帖のある南魚沼市旧塩沢町は、ユネスコの無形文化遺産に登録されている「越後上布」のふるさと。世界に誇る織物文化が根付く地です。
神様は絶世の美女だという言い伝えられていますが、朝焼けや夕日に染まる山は、神話を誰もが信じてしまうほどの美しさです。里山十帖の帰りには、ぜひ「塩沢つむぎ記念館」を訪ねてみてくださいね。

It’s a wonderful day with clear blue sky. There is snow covering mountains over 1,000 meters height. You can enjoy the splendid viewing from our open-air bath or onsen!
There is no snow yet around SATOYAMA JUJO. A next cold wave is said to come 10 days later, that is December 17 or 18, will it ever snow?
by the way, the mountain which you see right in front is Mt.MAKIHATA(1,967 meters height). It’s one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains. The goddess of weaving is believed to live in that mountain. Shiozawa town where SATOYAMA JUJO is located, is the birthplace of Echigo-Jofu. It’s a plain fabrics made of ramie and registered one of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. We are proud of having the traditional weaving culture in this region.
Myth says the goddess is unequaled in beauty, when the mountain reflects beautifully the sun light in the morning and in the evening, we believe involuntarily the myth. Please stop by Shiozawa Tsumugi Pavilion after your stay at SATOYAMA JUJO.
