山に入れば、初夏を知らせる茗荷が顔をのぞかせ、
森の景色も少しずつ夏の表情へ。
夕暮れには涼しい風が吹き、
蛍が静かに舞い始めています。

Microseason: Ayame Hana Saku (Irises Bloom)
The irises are now in full bloom around Satoyama Jujo.
The mountain vegetable season that began in spring is slowly coming to an end, and in our kitchen we’re preserving the harvest—especially bracken fern—to carry its flavors into the months ahead.
As we walk through the forest, the first myoga ginger begins to appear, quietly announcing the arrival of early summer.
Cool evening breezes drift through the valley, and fireflies begin to dance in the fading light.
